Product Review: Covermark Moisture Veil LX

What's up, guys? I am finally done with my internship, and now i am back with a lot to blog, and a lot of product to review. One of them being this powder by Covermark, called Moisture Veil LX.
Hearing the name, you probably haven't heard about this brand, or this product in particular.

I haven't the slightest clue, either...

But, Kawaii Beauty Japan was kind enough to let me try one, and that's what i am going to review today!

First things first, this powder comes is a separated product from the case. So you have to buy the case, then buy the powder itself which honestly sucks. But on the brighter note, you don't have to buy another case when the first product run out!

And upon opening the case, i was amazed by how graceful and elegant the case looks. Dark brown, glossy, with gold shimmer. Clearly, this one is not targeted towards us teenagers (US, yes, US teenagers *wink*)

It contains 8g of products, and comes with a decent sponge to apply the powder.

The case is quite sturdy and slim. Although it is quite wide in size, because the puff is located beside the powder compartment instead of being under it. But, Covermark makes up for this by providing a huge mirror, so i think all is forgiven tehee..

And this is how it looks like with the powder installed in. The powder compartment easily shuts itself snuggly into the space provided, but i'm not really sure how to take it off in case i run out of this one and want to change it with a refill.. You know what? I'll update you as soon as i know how to do it.

The texture of the powder is quite buttery! You can see i barely touched my hand into it, and here's what i get

Because it is buttery, it may dusts all over the case if you use brush to apply it. I have got mine in the shade MN30, a neutral medium shade. It turns out to be a tad bit lighter than my actual skintone, but it is quite alright because the finishing is actually kinda nice. It has a GREAT coverage (medium to almost full). For daily use i actually avoid using the sponge provided and use my kabuki brush instead as it gives a more soft and diffused coverage.

I have some difficulty applying it on my hairy face #grrr, as it seems to be hard to blend in some areas (hairline, upperlips) , and honestly i still have to blend a few times to get it blended out, but it still doesn't look good. Still have to tinker around with this for a few times.

Now what does Covermark say about this product?
(taken from Covermark Singapore Website)

  5. Prevents dark spots and freckles caused by UV rays. ( SPF32, PA+++ )

As you can see, it is a but lighter than my actual skin tone, but it provides a really nice coverage. I also feels that the more i wear this, the more natural this powder looks. It stays for a whopping 5 hours on my skin, and somehow it looks like the powder "melts" into my skin. That must be because of the Moist Change technology that it has.

Overall, it is a very great foundation powder, packed in a elegant casing with such a nice coverage, Might not be my first choice for daily look, but would be my go to for special occasions. The blendability might not be the best out there, but all is forgiven once it melts into your skin at the end of the day and giving you a soft-skin look.

Here's a few FOTD using Moisture Veil LX only on my face:
